Well said! Consumers have been forced for so many years to pay loads of money for stuff that wasn't great quality. I remember buying a CD to find that nine songs out of ten were rubbish. Piracy through the internet has given consumers a way to fight back. Now we can listen or watch something first before we rush out and buy it. I just don't see why companies can't embed advertising into their files and let people download them for free that way the advertising pays for the product and people won't have to resort to downloading it illegally. It sounds like they'll just drive it underground even more and that way it'll get into the hands of the real criminals.

Never, Duncan! And I still owe you that lunch.

My apologies, too, for not contacting you about this prior to going on holiday a couple of weeks ago. I hope you can appreciate it was rather a hectic time for me, setting up the temporary site and commissioning the new one in less than a week!

Many thanks Ian. Yes indeed, the the word count is however slightly different and with a few less grammatical mistakes!

I have the advantage as well that a web based document is far easier to reference at many points than a paper text is! Thinking in retrospect, it would have been so much easier had I been able to submit my paper as HTML. :-)

Hi Duncan. Yelp - the article was written by the excellent Simon Collister of 'Simon Says' fame (http://simoncollister.typepad.com/simonsays/). Must make sure that's clear in the morning.
